This policy covers the website at friendlyfreelancer.com and the apps that Friendly Freelancer publishes on Google Play. Each app has its own section below.

This website

friendlyfreelancer.com has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and sets no cookies.

• Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details in order to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
• Fonts. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends a request, including your IP address, to Google's servers.
• Contact form. Messages sent through our contact form (your name, email address, the service you choose and your message) are delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, a form-processing service.
• Email. Whether you use the form or email us directly, we use your details only to reply and, if we work together, to run your project. We don't sell or share them.

Tickwell

Tickwell is a free set of classic analog watch faces for Wear OS, with an optional ticking sound and a companion app for your phone.

The short version

Tickwell does not collect, store, sell or share any personal data. Neither the watch app nor the phone app has internet access, and neither has accounts, ads or analytics. Everything happens on your watch and your phone.

The watch face

The watch face shows the time, the date and your watch's battery level. It reads these from your watch to draw them and does not store or send them anywhere. Your choices of style and hand colour are saved by your watch's own watch face settings.

The watch app

• Installing the watch face. The watch app installs its built-in watch face using Wear OS's Watch Face Push feature (the "push watch faces" permission). If you tap "Use Tickwell face" and allow it, the app switches your watch to that face once (the "set active watch face" permission).
• Tick sound. When you turn ticking on, the app plays a short tick every second while the screen is on. It runs as a media foreground service with a notification while it is on. It checks your ringer mode and Do Not Disturb setting only to stay silent when you've silenced your watch. Your volume and sync settings are stored only on the watch.

The phone app

The phone app shows previews of the watch faces. It uses Google Play services' Wearable connection to see whether a paired watch is connected and whether Tickwell is installed on it, and to ask the watch app to open when you tap "Open on watch". Nothing is sent anywhere else. "Install on watch" opens Tickwell's page in the Google Play Store app.

Children

Our website and apps are not directed at children, and our apps collect no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this same address with a new effective date.
